Responsibility on teachers : Make education as “Asset Item” to compete at global level

Teacher’s Day is a very important day for every student as they get to thank their teachers for all the hard work they do year round to educate their students.  This day is for all the teachers should be thankful to the best way possible.  Nothing is more exciting then penning down your words for them which will make them feel good and special on this day.
Responsibility on teachers : Make education as “Asset Item” to compete at global level
Every year, the Teacher’s Day is celebrated on September 5, the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (1888-1975), who was the first Vice President of India and the second President.
A noted philosopher, Kahlil Gibran, a long back, had advocated the role of a teacher as a vacillator of innate potential of learning among children saying – The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind.
The pivotal role of the teacher in the present knowledge society is to lead students toward self-learning. The teacher needs to become the facilitator of learning in the present times. There is a need to look at students as constructors of knowledge and teachers as the facilitators of their learning potentials.  Creative expression and knowledge is the supreme art of a teacher to awaken joy among the students.
Also, highly intelligent child who was ridiculed by conventional teachers, later remarked when became one the lead scientists, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.”
During my lifetime, I have not heard anyone speaking against the teacher despite having different about the style of education.  Every person has role model in his mind and learns from his experiences.
Frankly speaking, everyone can’t become  a white collar Bureaucrat or Babu, someone has to be there at the lower end to serve for the other odd jobs.  But in this competition era at the global level, the teachers have now more responsibility for nourishing their students in their classes to ignite hope, imagination and instill a love of learning, by not taking the education as a sale item but as asset item to make them sale dependent in their life. The teacher should not merely do the role of a facilitator instead of being more information dispenser.
